Balzola executed the civil engineering works, the laying of the double track and the erection of the posts for the overhead power lines. Between América Square and the Abetxuko district, the tramway has five stops, with side (as opposed to central) platforms on this stretch.
The work consisted of preparing the six-metre-wide tramway platform for a double line; doing town planning work on the platform and adjacent areas; laying the tracks; and erecting the posts for the overhead power lines.
Two types of track were laid:
The stops have on each platform a shelter done in stainless steel and glass. They are furnished with benches, railings and the technical block, which houses the installations and equipment associated with the functioning of the stop.
