The Vitoria tramway consists of three branches: Centre (2,709 m.), Lakua (2,270 m.) and Abetxuko (2,183 m.), in a Y-shaped configuration. The Abetxuko branch runs between the Honduras stop and the Abetxuko district.
Construcciones Balzola has executed the Lakua branch and the Abetxuko branch.
Balzola laid the plated double track of the 1.64 km. of the Sestao-Portugalete stretch of line 2 of Bilbao Metropolitan Railway.

Construcciones Balzola participated in the execution of all the infrastructural works necessary for bringing into service the Basurto-Atxuri line of the Bilbao tramway: Civil engineering works; railway works and electrification of the line; Tram Depots and Workshops; Renewal and upgrading of the rail yard; and Renovation of Atxuri Station lobby.
The section which the Project concerns begins at KP (kilometre point) 0+325 of the route, from the end of the section "Project to Construct Line 2 of the Bilbao Metropolitan Railway, Portugalete-Santurtzi section". The route is 2,017 metres long, ending at the exit from the line tunnel to the surface in the vicinity of Kabiezes Landfill Site.
