Description

The work consisted in the internal fitting-out of the space assigned to France in the 2008 Zaragoza International Expo, in one of the buildings constructed by the Expo organisation for this use. This space covered about 1,233 m2. with a ceiling height of 8m and with the side walls and roof already executed.

The work included the execution of the structure necessary for the preparation of an intermediate frame to divide the space into two floors, with a partial mezzanine between them.

The lower floor included the exhibition zone, with different exhibition areas, as well as the pavilion’s management offices.

The mezzanine area included installations rooms and the kitchen for the restaurant.

The upper floor housed the central element of the pavilion, made up of a garden with a pond and a large projection screen, as well as the restaurant and toilets.

The structure was performed with metallic profiles and prefabricated concrete slab frames, without a compression layer so that it could be dismantled at the end of the Expo.
The internal divisions and ceilings were performed with plasterboard and the flooring with raised technical floors.

As regards the special installations, the pavilion had a lift, escalator, scenic lighting in the garden and the other normal installations found in any building.

The project also included the decoration and furnishings and fittings.
